About Our Guest:
Gayle Dine’Chacon, M. D. is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. She is a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNMSOM), where she founded the Center for Native American Health (CNAH). She served as Surgeon General for the Navajo Nation and was a member of the Advisory Council for the Office of Minority Health, US Department of Health and Human Services.

Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Native American Budget and Policy Institute (NABPI) in the UNM Center for Social Policy which analyzes research and budget policies in areas of health, education and environmental justice for our native children, families and communities.
